I try to find the rear parabolic leaf springs for my HZJ74 (2000). The only mass produced parabolic leaf springs are from Terrain Tamer. Unfortunately these rear leaf springs (TLC010P) are for HZJ70/73. Does anyone know if it is possible to fit these parabolic leaf springs for HZJ74?

Short information. Rear leaf springs HZJ70/73 (1986-07,1999) are quite similar to HZJ71/74 (08.1999-2007): length 1200mm vs 1210mm; width 70mm; leaf spring ear 35mm vs 40mm. Strength is similar 4,2kg/mm vs 4.1kg/mm. The bushings, shackles are different: HZJ70/73 has shackle pin width 82 mm, HZJ71/74 has 90mm/102mm.

Terrain Tamer has the parabolic leaf springs for the HZJ70/73. The catalog shows that these leaf springs (TLC010P) with a leaf spring ear 35mm fit only HZJ70/73.

Meanwhile the ARB offers the unified leaf springs (non parabolic) for HZJ70/71/73/74 - code CS004RB.

This Universal fitting can be explained by the 35mm leaf spring ear. In order to fit these leaf springs to HZJ74 ARB produces the combo bushings (OMESB93 4x35mm +2x40mm) and the special shackle kits (OMEGS10+OMEGP7).

My guess: if I buy the parabolic Terrain Tamer Leaf springs for HZJ70/73 (TLC010P) and the ARB kit (bush kit OMESB93, shackle kit OMEGS10, shackle fixed end pin kit OMEGP7) - this should fit my HZJ74.
If no one tried it, I will be the first one

MythBusters: Confirmed.
Tested in practice — a parabolic spring kit from the HZJ73 fits the HZJ74.

Front springs: TTCS-1414
Rear parabolics: TLC010P
You’ll also need ARB shackles, pins, and bushes — as shown in the diagram.

Originally, the rear springs came with two spacer plates beneath the three-leaf pack, presumably to reuse longer U-bolts.

That didn’t make sense (and I’ve got shorter U-bolts anyway), so I removed the spacers and mounted the springs directly.

Part numbers are listed above. The same setup should fit the short-wheelbase 71 series as well.

Next step: load the body and go for a test drive.

only thing to think about when removing those spacers is that the shocks will be more compressed, I think, and have less up travel.
These spacers are never installed in the catalog or in practice. The leaf springs have a 50 mm lift even without these attachments and require the lifted shock absorbers. Will see
