Has anyone other than R.K. used the shorter travel Chrysler style sliders like these?

I have a set of these from Speedway, but after reading this will they not have enough travel? It'll be on a very mild '55 in the rearend of the front springs....exactly like @R.K.

I built a set of slider shackles for the front of my old Sammy. Ran rear springs shackle reversed. It did limit droop a bit, but controlled axle wrap extremely well and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Kept it super low and stable.

Went to Walmart and got the cheapest uhmw cutting board that I could find for the slider bushing. Ran many many years of mud, sand and dust and didn't notice any wear either. Sold it and haven't seen it since.
