Usually I see a 2x2 bulb pattern. So unless you have really small hands, they do look kinda large to mounted on top of your fender.
Do you have a rack that you can use them as proximity lights or backup lights?

r2m I'm currently using a Kuat roof rack mounted to OEM style cross bars. I don't want to start wiring things up until i get a more permanent solution like the FrontRunner Slimline or Prinsu. But I agree the lights might make better proximity or backup lights due to the size.

It’s a pretty skinny tire. 10 inches wide compared to a 285 which is about 11.2 inches.

Initial impressions: I was worried that going with the performance load would give me a very stiff ride, but it feels great on road. I get less brake dive, and it feels very planted during turns. The OEM suspension felt floaty. The new suspension feels tighter during overall driving. I'm excited to try it out on the trails.

Congrats, it looks great!

I had the Performance Load springs prior to moving over to the heavier Constant Load springs (which you will need with a bumper and winch, the performance springs can't handle the added weight) and they rode great in all respects. Once you move over the Constant Load springs it does get kind of stiff on the road but it's still great off-road.

I knew I saw your GX on the forum before! Great build. I can’t wait to see the finished product. Another GX was there getting his CBI bumper installed. It looked great and they really paid attention to detail when installing it.

Looks like I have the KDSS lean. Driver‘s side is higher than The passenger’s side about 1.5 inches. Anyone have any advice?

I was hoping I’d be one of the lucky ones without the lean.
I’m gonna try the piece of wood and loosening up the KDSS valves trick this weekend and see if that works. If not, I’ll look into the blackgate solution or maybe wait for the treaty oak. They look like the same solution either way.

I installed some Rad Rubber splash guards last weekend. Not the fanciest or most exciting of mods, but I wanted to give the engine bay a little more protection. The previous splash guards were previously damaged (not sure how) and what was left of it tore off like a wet paper bag. It cleans up the look for the fender well and adds some extra protection. Overall install time was about 20 min. The hardest part was removing all the old fasteners.

Side-by-side comparison of the old vs. new. The Rad Rubber guards are twice as thick.

It's been awhile since I've posted any updates. Last night I decided to test fit the 4Runner roof rails to see if I can make it fit with the @NIseRack . I got the idea from a random post by @mattgold on GXOR. I ended up dropping one of the stock rails and cracking the end so this is going to be on the GX for the foreseeable future. I think it looks much better than the stock rails. I plan on getting the NISERACK brackets and the Rago Fab awning mounts for the side rails. Excuse the dirty roof pictures. It was only supposed to be a test fit.

I too moved from a Nissan to the GX460. I had a nicely built Xterra which I rolled of the side of a mountain.

Mine came off a 2021, but I think take-offs from any 5th Gen will work. I briefly considered trying to source a TRD Pro rack.
Sorry to hear about your Xterra, I'm glad you came out OK. I thought about getting one to replace the Pathfinder since I could use the wheels, tires and front suspension, but I coudn't resist the allure of heated leather seats on the GX. XTerras (older Nissans) are great vehicles and highly underrated.

I couldn't really take the front and rear bumpers off as they were part of the vehicle so are the wheels and tires and suspension. But I took all my high end light pods and light bar. Salvaged my CB and GMRS radios as well as the awning which I didn't even bend even though the entire vehicle weight was on it at some point. I got the tent too but it was in rough shape. I have some parts to rebuild though.
