I guess I am on a wait list?!

I guess I am on a wait list?!

Hang in there. Always a percentage of folks’ plans end up excluding the dates. Only so many trucks are manageable in Ouray. First time it’s ever been capped...even many months out!

Couple blasts from LCDC past...
...and a couple good guys you’ll meet if you’re new this year...

If you haven't done Black Bear Pass before like me and want a good video to watch here ya go...(it's Jeeps but there are some Land Cruisers in the beginning)

Sitting by patiently hoping that someone cancels so that I can be moved off of the wait list lol. If not I hope to do BBP at sometime in the near future.

Anyone rolling out from Chicago? I am planning to leave towards Ouray on the 29th. Maybe we can gather a fun group of some sort.
I am but we're leaving Saturday and doing Rocky Mountain NP for the first few days. Also I'm pulling our trailer, so we don't go much over 70 and end up stopping every 2 hours for fuel.

New to the 200, and saw this ride months ago before I even bought our 200. I waited to long to register it seems. I did get on the waiting list so maybe we will make it, if not I’ll be quicker for 2020 registration.

The frightened-passenger-commentary that accompanies this Black Bear video is absolutely hilarious, and worth watching/listening to at least once... 👸:steer: Driver calmly breath-whistling songs to himself...as she is freaking out....and continually telling him there’s more room on the non-edge side of the road.

Favorite line (in thick accent) :
“My heart...is in da pants!!”

Haha

Back on the BBP topic, I did watch this a couple years ago. What a hoot. I was laughing but at the same time it reinforced why I won't be driving this. Seems that in my old age I have developed a fear of heights. That said, I would love to ride with someone. And if it is possible (and sensible) I would like to walk down the switchbacks with camera in hand. I'm thinking I could keep up with the pace of the trucks. But I may be wrong. I wouldn't want to be in the way.

I’ll have 7 open seats if you want to hop in with me.

Welcome! We are monitoring the list closely and we've already had a few cancellations and moved some in from the waiting list.

We have another great sponsor to announce to our lineup this year! 5.11 Tactical will be joining us. Shaping up to be the best year yet!

Just learned about this and got on the waiting list. Loved the BBP video too- motivational tool for my wife.

Nice! Hang in there... People’s plans change and cancellation happen. Hope you can make it!

Sounds pretty cool! Just wondering what add-ons coolness sponsors add to the event.

An awesome free dinner Saturday night always helps, for starters... :) Thanks, Christo Slee!

-Other sponsors often help with drinks and great info on the opening evening gathering.
ARB and others usually help out in smaller, but cool ways. Like the spokesman for Toyota that answered a lot of Q’s in Breck. Elite Cruisers has been great too. Also just cool to have sponsors/reps hit the trails with us...and generally just show their support for the growing-but-still-niche 200 series wheeling community.

The event has no fees whatsoever..which is pretty awesome all by itself. A ton of time and planning go into these events...especially Cody and Cole ( @codyaustin5 and @indycole ).

It’s a hoot.
