Does anyone know the overall height of the LC250 with the roof rack? My garage entry has a max clearance of 81." Thanks in advance!

Simple, get a garage door stretcher...

They are called high lift or extended radias tracks.

Thank you! First time hearing of extended radius garage door tracks. I just might be okay after all. Remeasured and I have 83" of overall clearance.

For those looking for actual understanding, most garage doors hang into the garage door opening 3 - 6". A side mount garage door opener will allow this overlap to about 2 - 4" as you can adjust the door open upwards an additional 1 - 2", more than a center mount garage door opener. Using a set of high lift or extended radius tracks, you move the garage door up and away from the door frame an additional amount, to the maximum extent possible, limited by the ceiling height or storage racks above the door. The video I posted shows an example at the 2:50 mark the the door frame fully cleared, allowing the maximum vehicle drive in height.

Also below are photos and links showing more about high lift or extended radius tracks.

Once again, none of these solutions change the size of the garage door opening, which is more likely to be a limiting factor than what style of opener you have. I would imagine this is the origin of the question at hand.

Most people only measure to the point at which the door hangs into the door opening, this is not the limiting factor, it is the height of the garage door frame itself. I've presented several solutions to work within your constraints that allow the garage door to be raised up to clear the garage door frame opening.

Not enough, reframe the garage door to a larger opening, buy a new house, buy a shorter vehicle, there are ALWAYS solutions.

I wouldn't know since my door clears the entry and does not reduce the size of the opening. I've never lived in a home with a door that hangs below the top of the entry -- that sounds like crap design.

It's standard in six homes I've owned in California and Texas.

A guy on FB has one and has been answering questions. 78" with roof rack. this is a first ed.
With the Toyota spec of 76.1" w/o the rack, is the rack less than 2" tall?

Edit: I took some rough measurements off the images on the Toyota web site. Which could be renders, so take with a grain of salt. Assuming Toyota's height spec of 76.1" w/o rack, it looks like the Land Cruiser trim roof rails are just under 3" tall, and the basket on the First Edition is about 4" tall. That would put the two options at roughly 79" and 80" tall.

I would agree with that. He did say it wasn't level ground where he measured.

I'm curious if they included the little shark fin antenna in the 76.1" measurement. If that's the case the number might be right. I hope it is, my garage is 82.5".
Tight fit.

I doubt they did, but I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong. But it also would not surprise me if the spec number underestimates suspension sag and tire deformation.

I just measured my garage, and it's about the same, almost 83" but anything over 82.5" will be rubbing the top seal. Hmm. A quick measure of my FJ puts it at about 78" so a LC is only an inch or two worse than that. Until I put larger tires on it.
