Hello LC world. It’s hot in TX and I’m missing the electric start that I have had on other vehicles. I have a 2019 LC and open to options. I have someone that will add an omega model system to my OEM key for $300. Is that a fair price? Also I believe that it only works at the distance the key works. In that case are there other options that can be done via phone app?

Cheers

Given they cost ~$150 +/- a couple of hours of work $300 seems reasonable. But will need to used their FOB (I think).

However, do note that an immobilizer bypass may be required. That may or may not be desirable.

The OEM is not much more $200. I would probably go that route as the install is not much different.

The Toyota Connect app will remote start but requires a subscription.

Is this something that I can do myself? Did some 2019s come with remote start? Any idea where to pick one up? I’m sure the dealership would be expensive. Thanks for the help

I installed a glass breakage sensor in my 2015LC so probably not much different as it should be plug and play.

My LC unknowingly came with the remote start. Some vehicles have a tag on the driver's door and/or in the engine bay. Mine had neither but I did have a book.

One can always try, three solid clicks a second apart then hold on the third.
