The six-trim LC300 range will touch down in Australia in Q4 this year, with each carrying a circa-$10k price increase on their equivalent LandCruiser 200 Series model.

Let's get straight to it, shall we? The new LC300 price list is as follows:

  • GX: $89,990 (was $80,873)
  • GXL: $101,790 (was $92,573)
  • VX: $113,990 (was $103,273)
  • SAHARA: $131,190 (was $124,273
  • GR SPORT: $137,790
  • SAHARA ZX: $138,790 (was $131,733 - Horizon)
All the above prices are manufacturer list prices, and they exclude on-road costs.

Nice…but damn the price! (Note, this is Australian pricing.)

Just to play around, does this mean that the Lexus LX will be at least $110k and up (assuming they axe the based 2 row one)? Then you add in the future hybrid model…yikes, you will be hitting $120-130k??

Just in case anyone wondering…$137k Australian for GR Sport roughly equals $101,500 USD.

I bought a one year old land cruiser in 1987 for $12,500 USD. It was essentially new.

I just got a certified LX570 2016 with 55,000Miles for $64,000 prices on the cars are up by 20+%
my old LX450 1996 with 200,000Miles selling for $20,000 -$25,000 and I got it 8 years ago for $10,000

Prices are just crazy stupid right now. Not a buyers market, that’s for sure!! Good if you have an extra vehicle to sell, but not me unfortunately.

It's more money for a more complex engine and no V8 sound. A vehicle that is less desirable for me on the secondhand market. But it will have better fuel economy.

Toyota has done a terrible job trying to sell the LC in North America by insisting on only selling top spec models, while selling more affordable trim levels most other places. With a total lack of advertising and marketing, you could argue they were anti-selling it.

81,000 AUD = 57,700 USD

Bingo. Toyota did an absolutely terrible job of everything regarding the 300 as well.

Yeah my 1987 FJ60 with front and rear manual lockers stickered for $17,500 USD. i bought it new and Toyota did not negoitiate. That would be $42k in today’s dollars with a carburated I6 with no HP, manual choke, roll up windows, barely working AC, 4 speed transmission, and manual locking hubs. I’d buy another new FJ60 at $42k today in a heartbeat.

That is what I am planning for roughly…if the base is 90k or so, with some added goodies, I see it being right around 100k.

I am #1 on my dealers list and requested a GR Sport trim with the upgraded stereo and AHC. Hoping/expecting 100k or just over.

Word is Toyota is bringing a Corolla version of it's GR Yaris to the US.
Maybe it's the beginning of Toyota offering more exciting cars.
Probably not.
Isn’t that the RAV4 TuRD? :D
