Had a nice (long) drive through the Upstate yesterday for work. Went Spartanburg, Laurens, Greenwood, Abbeville, Greenville, home.

Anyway, saw 2 FJ40s in Laurens county during the travels.

One was coming out of Laurens on 221 South from the square / courthouse. It was on the way out of town at a house on the right in a driveway loosely covered with a blue tarp. The body looked to be gray, most likely just a primer. Probably someone fixing it up.

The other one was further down 221 South in Waterloo before 221 hits 72. This one looked cherry. Dune beige color, awesome condition (from speeding past on the road). It was sitting in the lot of Miller's Auto Specialties on the right on 221 South. Don't know if it was for sale or a customer's ride. Here's a map with the location:

Also, on the way back to 85 we took 25 North through Ware Shoals. Looked to be a wheeling spot right near the Saluda River bridge as a lifted old K5 blazer came up to the pavement loaded with mud. I think Matt is around there, maybe he knows the place?

Andy I know exactly where you are talking about around Ware Shoals....... I noticed a lot of muddy tracks entering back on to 25 right there. We need to send matt on a recon mission :grinpimp:

I know the guy in waterloo. Its a restore and it was a gift to the guys son. I've seen it up close and its super nice( not interested in selling, trust me I asked). I mentioned the club but he didn't seem too interested. Either way its a good restoration and its in good hands.

Cool, thanks for the info Matt. At least that saves me some time from stopping the next time I am passing through there.

Nice 40 though...

Ware Shoals is only about 10 min from my house. But we dont head over that direction alot. I dont know about a trail on Hwy 25 either, sorry I am no help there. I do know of a few trails around Abbeville and Due West, but none of them have the space for more than 2 or 3 vehicles.

I know those trails in Ware Shoals. Its kind of a 2 car trail, not much room. Lots of mud but not a whole lot else. I grew up in Greenwood and know all the trails in Abbeville off Highway 10. Most of the trails on public land are big mud pits and nothing more. The wildlife service used to be really cool (you just told them you were scouting for hunting and they would laugh and let you go) but I havent been out in that area in a while.
