Officially new to the forum but have been lurking awhile.


Found this on CL. Not mine. Still waiting for the right vehicle to make the jump since wife has taken my lifted blacked out Tundra so she doesnt get a minivan.
Whats a guy to do? Counter with a Land Cruiser purchase right?

Was this the one from ebay and all they did was paint bumpers?

It seems www.cargurus.com has a decent selection of cruisers and LX570s nationwide. So be prepared to ask for frame shots. 08's look like they go for about 25-32k, sounds like some of the folks here have picked them up for as low as 20k.

I might sound silly, which frame are you talking about?

The frame of the truck, the part that the body, suspension, etc bolts onto. It iss one of the few achilles heels for these trucks- any series cruiser really..the frames rust rather quickly if they are driven in a salt state and not cared for. Look in this thread and search the 100 series forum for threads that ask if there is too much rust on the truck, it gives you an idea of what to look out for.
Depending on where in VA you are located, there is this truck which I stopped and looked at a few weeks ago 2011 Lexus LX 570 Sport Utility - 🚘 - FREE WARRANTY!
looks clean, right? If you have a chance stop by and look underneath, you'll see what I am talking about. That price would be right for a truck that didn't have a frame that was as rusty as this one does.

Gotcha, I live close to that place and saw the vehicle, must admit didn’t see underneath the truck

Evidently it was a seemingly 1 owner truck from Ohio, which explains the rust.

Hello there,not to sure about great deals but try looking on Carmax.They can ship from all over for a good price.No haggle prices,I just picked up a 2014 200 w/32k it was spendy but low miles and like new So a good deal.
