hey guys, the cluster on my 82 hj47 has some lighting issues. the trouble seems to be that I'm getting no connection for the two globes either side on the outer about half way up. the globes work fine in the place of the top two spaces if ya get what I mean. what do you guys reckon? time for a new one? oh and it's clean.
cheers

Not sure if Hj47 has the same cluster as BJ40? But in BJ40 theres two lights for the cluster that are on when the light are on and the other two are for the turnsignal indicator.

yeah cluster is the same, I should have had a closer look, thanks mate. anyone know of any globes that will put out more grunt? lacks big time though the tacho surprisingly is not to bad.

Try the LEDs. Also if you cut the metal dividers away more light will be the result. Don't cut the dividers for the flashers though!!

I spent the first five years of my cruiser ownership squinting at my gauges. One of my earliest customers came in one day and showed me where he had trimmed back the shields. Made me a believer.

Definitely a 'best cheap mod.'

thanks for the reply's guy really helpful. here's a pic from how I see the lighting in my 47: exceedingly blurry picture sorry, I try for a better one later on tonight.

The funny thing is I haven't done this yet. On the list!!
