I finally tracked down a radio for my 1983 HJ47 and need to find (or make) a bracket to mount it to the tabs behind the dash.

Does anyone have a picture of the little metal side mounts? Should be the same for all 40 Series of this era I'm pretty sure.

Look closely at this 1983 FJ43L-KC , See the triangle shape radio mounting brackets that are parts of the red dash sheet metal

behind the dash itself

do u have these on your truck ?

Thanks. This is the only pic that I have at the moment of what's back there:

The tan bracket that is connected to the dash looks to have a threaded hole from the back side, but the radio looks like it mounts from the side, not the back:

What do you think? I'm wondering how this all would fit together.

I faced the same problem on my 1983 fj40. I found a pretty nice set of pictures of the radio and brackets on EBAY. If it has been sold check the history. If you can’t find the listing send me your contact info and I’ll send he pics I used.
