I've heard from various reliable sources that Toyota has officially dropped the FJ Cruiser from it's line. They will be concentrating on the Tacoma and 4Runner.
Anyone else with contacts in the industry able to verify this?
I was curious because two phx dealerships told me what they had in stock was the last FJ's they'd get.
Either the rumor is true or the dealerships are playing games to get people to hurry up and buy out their stock.
I don't even own one and I'd be bummed if they canned it. I love seeing that white roof in the rear view mirror-99 times out of 100, it's an FJC. It alwys makes me think of my 40 even whemn I'm commuting. They have brought a lot of new folks into the fold and especially more women. They are nice trucks.
I could see Toyota moving up to compete with Jeep, which might mean the next gen FJC would get a tad smaller, and more open/less cartoony. Keep the white roof and the bezel, make the top removable. With all the time, money and ad dollars invested, I can't see an outright cancel.

I could not agree more........my FJ would get traded in before you could say supercalifragalisticexpialadocious. But that will never happen in the states.............fxxxing Californians
