The general consensus right now is that= it is just a rumor. A wide spread and much believed rumor, but still a rumor.

And don't believe everything you hear either!:D

I don't even own one and I'd be bummed if they canned it. I love seeing that white roof in the rear view mirror-99 times out of 100, it's an FJC. It alwys makes me think of my 40 even whemn I'm commuting. They have brought a lot of new folks into the fold and especially more women. They are nice trucks.

I could see Toyota moving up to compete with Jeep, which might mean the next gen FJC would get a tad smaller, and more open/less cartoony. Keep the white roof and the bezel, make the top removable. With all the time, money and ad dollars invested, I can't see an outright cancel.

I couldn't agree more and hope you are correct!

Now if they put that 50mpg Hilux diesel engine in the new FJ I would buy one in a heart beat

I could not agree more........my FJ would get traded in before you could say supercalifragalisticexpialadocious. But that will never happen in the states.............fxxxing Californians

MY sources at Toyota HQ told me about a convertible version coming next year. Nothing about the model getting axed.

while i was reading this all i could think about was that song ""how do rumors get started there started by the jelous people......"

that would suck but im glad i got mine.
