Does anyone have a picture of the secondary linkage for the 03-09/69 carburetor?
Mine didn’t come with the solenoid and the linkage was fabricobbled to fit.
Problem is, my secondary butterfly doesn’t close all the way without help.
I don’t know if I’m missing a spring or if the solenoid does that or what.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you googled the part # on the carb. I'll dig out my chilton and see what they have for pic's.
Maybe timmyinthewell can post up the fish pic's if he has them.

Charlie, I have next to zero computer and social media access skills, that's why I find it easier to use old school technology. When I graduated high school we were still using manual typewriters. To be honest, I had sort of assumed this info would be out there in the universe in black and white form with good clear pictures and p/n's. So. I'll keep on helping if I can with what I have.

I understand, I can barely answer my cell phone - funny it never rings mostly because I don't turn it on if I remember to carry it.

I really try to encourage folks like that guy casting 73 reverse light lens, the glass float windows and the switches = anything to help keep our rigs on the road.

I just read that an Austin gas station was limiting purchases to $74 because of "carbon rules". If they start a war with the ruskies, there will rations for fuel, tires, hoses, batteries, not to mention food, clothes, shoes, meds....

Nothing to do with the carb issue, but I would love to have a blown apart F engine diagram to make a poster or bedspread of…..

Identify the piece and I can get you a p/n. I'm sure there are guys on here who have the pieces you need stashed away in the attic, garage, or basement.

I believe it’s these parts here, but they don’t make sense to me when they’re installed. I had to bend the finger on the outside one to catch the primary cam behind it so the secondary would open. Which worked except it doesn’t close all the way unless I do it by hand via the linkage.

I think I have the linkage straightened out. The secondary closes now, it just doesn’t open all the way because there’s nothing pulling the cam after it starts to open. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m missing the solenoid or what.

So I got it to come back down to idle once I put the ‘new piece’ on correctly.
I haven’t gotten a chance to drive it yet but I know the secondary opens at least a little bit.
It will only start on choke though so something is still wonky.
