Just wondering what market this was produced for because it's LHD. I always thought the diesel model of the FJ45 was the HJ45? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you see some in Europe with the b series engines, but those were mostly troopies.

I had a 84 LHD BJ45 pick up that originally came from the Canary Islands, iirc all the LCs sold in the Canary Islands were shipped there from Spain.

I'm not a 100% sure but if it has a heater I would bet its from Europe.

Maybe Columbia?

No, Colombia got almost no diesels. I been told some BJ43's were sold there but I never seen one and I been there four times plus know many Colombians plus watch Colombian for sale ads. Colombia is 98% or more all gasser trucks.

It is probably a European spec truck, I have seen a few BJ45 pickups and they all were European.

Cheers

I don't think that bed ever saw a Toyota factory!!! One of the papers says Chartres which is in France, but maybe they sold chassis cab models like they do in Oz. Wheels look like later Surf/4 Runner ones?? Engine seems to check out according to this..

When this ad first appeared on Ebay, I wrote the owner giving him several pieces of factory information indicating that this was definitely NOT the last 45 built in Toyota's factory. He politely wrote back saying that he disagreed and continued to run the ad with the banner headlines. He apparently is relying upon information from French or other European officials that does not agree with the factory data. When it didn't sell, he renewed the original ad with the original statements. And so now it appears on Craig's List.

While it is a nicely kept example, my concern is that an unsuspecting buyer will rely on incorrect statements and pay a premium believing he/she has "the last one."-- so caveat emptor.

You are correct.

I thought the last one built was green. I remember going through some old articles years ago and a couple begged Toyota to make them one last FJ45. Toyota conceded to shut them up. I believe cruiser corps got ahold of it a few years ago to restore it. It was documented on mud by cruiser corps...I think it was cruiser corps. I'm 99% sure it was.

Not org paint, wrong box, he painted over rust on lower bib, ,,,,, He thinks its the last landcruiser on earth.........He is really trying to convince people that its the only one......... pass
