So, I have been trying to get a larger dump pipe for my KZJ78, ideally 3". I have been trying in vain (weeks of emails) to get the people at Kaiapoi to get back to me regarding shipping for that part, and even seeing if they'd ship their snorkel and air box as I've been having a hard time finding a snorkel that is in stock anywhere (ideas?).
Other than Kaiapoi, do you know of anyone that makes and ships a larger exhaust to help keep the rig cool, and help the engine out?
Thanks!
Ohh, and if you have a lead on an available snorkel, that would also be swell.

Not sure on the snorkel, but I would just take your rig to a reputable exhaust shop and have them build you a mandrel custom 3" exhaust. That is what I had done on mine.

Not that they'll price match or anything like that, but, what was the cost'ish?

No brainer, thanks for the info!
I phoned Kaiapoi and they had it delivered to Scotland within 3 weeks. May have helped that I used to be a customer when I lived out there, but they are usually really busy and it was difficult to get booked in!

My local custom exhaust shop was unwilling to take on the job because of the tricky geometry of the dump section. they were, however, happy to do it once I supplied to the dump pipe section.

Just my thoughts.

use a snorkel of any HD 70 series, I could not find one for a KZJ78 , the HD version is really easy to fit and only a little bit out but bolted up really nice

as for the dump pipe , if you can get a flange for the turbo (I think I posted a dxf on here somewhere) go buy some 3" pipe bends and straight and give it a go, its labour intensive and a little tricky, just fiddley and takes a bit of hammering to clear bolts and firewall , nothing some black high temp paint wont fix up , $800 is really good price to get a 3" done , my materials cost around $200NZD from memory but was a good whole weekend to mount it all , exhaust has to go through between chassis and body and then over the gearbox , lots of bends and cutting and welding

Hi there. So I don't mean to hijack but about that dxf file, it seems like it's no longer available. Do you happen to have one for a reupload? I will probably just print it to size and handcraft the flange as I don't have access to a CNC. Thanks in advance!

I still hope to hear back from them with a quote. We have exchanged emails since, but nothing with any numbers attached.
Also inquiring on having their intake box and snorkel sent too, but no quotes on shipping yet.

sorry dunno what happend to the file here it is again , might need to double check the size but im sure its the right one

was modified in " Protomax" water jet software so if you want to use a simple program to open this dxf got to the protomax website and just download the software for free
