Landcruiser tube bumper with winch mount? wider tires?

Does anybody have a picture of a 100 series LC with a tube bumper like the one shown on the 4runner below? I was planning to do something different with my LC cos I see a lot of people running TJM and ARB bumpers on their's. I wanted to have a tube bumber with a winch mount. I was also wondering how come nobody has a 100 series with wider tires? I always see tall but slim tires on LC's. I'm planning to run 35" tires and get SOR fender flares. Can you run rims with less backspacing on a LC so it has a wider stance? I was just wondering cos I haven't seen it done yet. Also, are there any taller lifts out there for 100 series with IFS? All I see are the 2" OME lifts. Are there any body lifts out there for 100 series LC's?

Haven't seen an all tube bumper like that on a 100. You'd be looking at a custom job regardless, but no reason you couldn't do it. How wide of a tire do you want to run? You can fit 12.5" with spacers up front, which runs into legal issues and handling issues. No taller lifts, but you can body lift the truck, several have.

I jus want the tires so that they dont seem like they are tucked into the fender. Instead of a body lift, I was thinking that I should jus trim the fenders. I saw somewhere that you can run an OME 863(3" lift spring) in the back, but can you level out the LC 100 by adjusting the torsion bars? Will this put too much stress on the cv axles?
 
It would be best to drop the diff down too. I run 863's and have the front cranked up level.

the 863's give 3" of lift in the rear, right? and do you know where I can get some OME 863 springs? Doesnt cranking up your torsion bar to level the truck, even with the diff drop, put too much stress on yur cv axles?
 
You can get springs from Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters or Christo at Slee Offroad. Maybe even the classifieds here if someone is going to 864's or J's. Having the front end up like that def. increases the angle on the CVs and I will live with the consequence. I just had both boots replaced on both sides, we'll see how long they go.

what size tire are you running?
 
Alan Podvin did built this rig years ago. This pic is a little stretched out but Podvins truck had 2" of suspension lift and somewhere between 2-4" of body lift. I can't remember. Wheels are 37 or 38x13.5. Also, the wiper washer reservoir has been removed/relocated. Probably some firewall modifications but I don't know for sure.

I need some additional help. I called three different stores and I got these responses abt the rear coils from OME. For now, I plan to keep my bumpers and everything stock, I just really want to raise my 100 series.

863 springs: 4" lift, I thought this would only give me 3" of lift? I've seen people run these on 100 series with no aftermarket rear bumper, does it really give 4" of lift?

866 springs: apparently give 3" of lift, when I thought it only gives 2" of lift?

Can someone explain to me what I got wrong? I want to get the 863's for my 100 series, but is it too much for the stock bumper? will it really raise the rear by 4"? Is the 866 spring better for me? I want to be able to clear 35" tires. I really need help and I'm stressing about this right now, I need someone's help so that I can order my parts now! ahah if I get the 863's, can I get the OME torsion bars and crack them up so I can level my LC?
Can I get heavy duty springs and keep my rear bumper? I'm planning to get a steel tube bumper with a tire carrier in the future, that's why I want to get the heavy load springs now. Someone help me please
 
I believe we spoke on the phone yesterday. 863 is to much spring for a truck with no rear bumper. You will not be able to match the front end in lift. The reason you get different answers is because some shops speak from experience and some from the OME application guide.

Springs are designed to give a certain amount of lift based on the weight on them. If used different, you will get more lift. If you want about 2" of lift, either run the 866's or run 860's, 866's will work better when occasionally loaded.

If you are dead set on 35's remember the gearing, the weak front diff as well as the fact that you have to nearly max out the front suspension in terms of lift to achieve proper clearance. This leaves very little down travel. Things can be done to improve down travel a bit, but it depends on what your budget is.

That was with me who called on the phone:) I'm just really confused on what to get right now. I will however take your opinion and not to go with 863's cos I dont want to max out the axle in the front. I plan on just getting 33's.

Unfortunately you are looking for the holy grail. No spring can take 200lbs without sagging, unless it was so short and stiff to start off with that you would not want to ride in it in any case. Both 860's and 866's will sag, but 866's will stop at some point since they are progressive, so they will handle a lot of weight better.,

How much sagging can I expect from the 860's and 866?
