I just got a new set of side emblems for the '77 and have a quick question about installation.

Do I remove the little clips and install them from the inside or do I keep the clips on the emblems and press them through the 4 holes in the body?

Thanks,

Josh

Let's see what they look like.

I dont have a camera with me but they are Toyota OEM #75343-90351. I got them from CCoT Emblem Land Cruiser

"Attaches to apron by 4 factory clips."

This was written just below the emblems. I would conclude that the clips would be used to retain the emblem on from the inside of the apron (My 66 emblems are secured by nuts).

Take the clips off and put the emblem in the holes...then see if you can put the clips on the backside with it holding....If not I'd guess leave the clips on and push them in the hole...

If the later is the case, make sure you have the holes clean and not heavy with paint....I had to learn that the hard way with my VW...

For the $80 plus shipping you paid to CCOT, I'd say they'd be willing to answer your question if you gave them a call or sent off an email. Their site suggests they refurbish rigs as well, so they probably have someone in their shop who's done this lots of times, incuding knowing what the hole size should be.

I've got a '73 FJ40, so it's easy for me to figure out how mine get installed.

The clips go on the inside of the fender to hold your new emblems on...

thanks guys. I will call them just to confirm.
