I have searched and searched here and on the interweb and can’t find an answer to whether or not a land cruiser in LX 570 steering wheels are interchangeable. I’m in the market for a new as possible LX 570 but I had the three spokes steering wheel on a Rx Lexus of mine and I simply could not get used to the bottom post. I prefer when I’m backing up and driving on long trips to be able to put my hand on the center of the bottom of the wheel. I wanted to know if I can simply buy a steering wheel from a land cruiser and swap it into a newer LX 570. Of course I know it’s not gonna match. It will read Toyota but at the end of the day it’s the only thing stopping me from getting the LX. I know that they’re almost the same vehicle, but I do prefer the automatic leveling system on the LX and would prefer to have that.
Hopefully somebody can help me to see if this is possible

The LX wheel is not 3 spokes so you can keep your hand on the center bottom.
Huh?

There are so many cool LandCruiser based custom wheels out there, you should get something special!

To OP what year is the truck you want to buy?
Before 2016 LX doesn't have 3 spokes.
When he said “newer” LX I presumed he meant post facelift, but could be wrong. But that’s a great point, putting in the pre facelift wheel is a no brainer!

There's a chance a similar model year GX460 steering wheel may drop in?

I’m looking to buy as new as possible and those come with the 3 spoke. I can’t tell from the picture if the GX wheels have the button for the adaptive cruise if it does maybe that would work. The last few years of the GX when to the 3-spoke as well. I was hoping there was someone that did such a swap because I don’t want to buy a 16+ LX only to find out it can’t be done.
I love both the LC and LX I’ve just had several Lexus over the years and wanted to stick to that.
