Hey all,
I just got a set of injectors from Rob Millson. I am very impressed by his service.
We only did a few emails and I sent the money, he sent the injectors and its done.
Super quick. good price. He was very helpfull.
I would recommend him to everyone to get there fuel Injectors serviced.

Also I noticed the engine seems to run smoother, accelerate quicker and I find it has lower temps on the pyro. I have no idea if and when the PO did the orginal injectors.
Is it possible they may have never been done?? 240K

My PO kept all the reciepts. I have a huge file and there is mention of injectors in there. So Ya never know.

For those of you wondering how to get a hold of Rob Millson here is the info.

If you don't mind me asking as a have some money kicking around how much did it cost you for the injectors. Mine are original and have 260k on them. They need doing and starting is getting hard.

Also do i have to send mine to get overhauled or does he send you some and then you just return your old ones.

Thanks

Here in Montréal : 200 $ with the gasket kit for the four injectors.

he has a set, so he can send it out once he recieves yours. But he may send his set first. if its not out already.

I paid 307 after tax. I thought it was good deal, since the service was so quick. As well he came very well recommended by others on this board. So I never really shopped around as I thought it was better to have someone famillar with the toyota 3b injectors to do the job.

After I read Moose's threads about his crack pressures and all, I did not want to experience that. I did not want to use a generic shop.

I do not know if the price I paid is more than normal. but I would pick a experienced shop that knows the nozzles to do the job.

Thats my way of looking at it.

Thanks I think I will follow in your footsteps and go with the recommended.

Again Thanks

hey hey,

don't be too quick to write off Action in NAN, i have had many sets of injectors rebuilt there. some for my trucks some for others trucks.

the price is right,(about $70-85 per depending) and the service is good, and quick.

i would be more likely to trust a shop that does ONLY injectors and pumps. generic my ass! just try taking your parts to toyota! ha ha ha ha!

they also do a lot of marine (yanmar!) can you say 3b?

i think they are good, but what the f#$k do i know?

Thanks crusty i'll check them out i like the idea of seeing the face doing my work for me. Nice and close to home.

Rob is a great guy and I wish him all the business in the world. That said if he's out of stock Surrey Diesel is also a great shop with great prices. $50 per last time i had a set rebuilt. Sean and Tom know their stuff- it's all they do. They also have an excellent diesel additive.

it is nice to have a selection of places to get injectors done.
here is my take on the matter, the cost of a product is not the final decision for me, actually cost is one of the least deciding factors, for me i want a job done well and if a shop charges more but comes highly recommended then that is where i will drop my coin.
there is nothing wrong with shopping for the best deal but sometimes the best deal is not the "best" deal.
it is your money, spend it where you will.
supporting a fellow respected cruiserhead is a benefit to us all.
cheers

My 1HZ has 120,000 klms on her. I wonder if I should get either new injectors or rebuilt ones?

Rob has replaced the timing belt, water pump, big end bearings, clutch, throw out bearing. Is there much else that we could do to get a good idea where to START MY maintenance on this engine at?

I was thinking maybe injectors.

this is off the outback site, http://www.outbackimports.ca/support.html#v2

thats all I have seen, he doesn't have a site.

I agree with Wayne, the most important is a good job done. Not price. Hey you want to keep them in there for like 100,000kms! why go cheap.

HZJ 60 guy, ya it you got 120k on them they should get serviced. There is no different from rebuilt/serviced, then new. New might be 500 a injector, where as you can pay 300 for all serviced.

They are pretty darn simple to change, at least on a 3b, don't know on a 1hz, but I bet simple.
