I hope I put this in the right category.

Hello. As the title suggests, Im looking for a replacement body for my 80 series Land Cruiser, left hand drive. I recently rolled the car in an accident, everything seems fine except for the body which would probably be too expensive for the insurance company to repair. So Im looking for options.

Is the body mostly the same for all 80 series versions, as long as it is left hand drive?

Does anyone know where you can get a hold of these? Is there a way of maybe importing them from UAE or something similar?

The car in question is a HZJ80.

As I cant edit my posts yet, Im having to post another reply..

What Land cruiser bodys are interchangeable with the 80 series? I have heard rumors that the 100 and 105 series body will fit on the 80 series frame, I have not been able to confirm this.

Thanks for the reply, I will be looking into this. Everything is a bit uncertain for me still, as people are on vacation and won't be able to assess the damage on my car and report to the insurance company until mid/late August. It mostly depends on what they say, but getting a fresh body is most certainly better than the infinite work of fixing a bent one.

Figured I'd throw some pics of it out there. Damn shame this has to happen.

It would be helpful for others to know your location.
I will have a complete and rust free Texas 93 80 series body, sometime next year, in Long Island NY

I am located in the southern part of Sweden, so export is needed. I will of course cover these expenses if a deal were to be struck.

You might want to buy a whole running truck somewhere in southern Europe, but knowing US dollar is weaker, shipping might pay for itself ?

I am looking into that aswell. But then comes all the paperwork and taxes associated with importing a vehicle into the EU, that's why I prefer just sourcing parts for my truck. But ultimately we will see when the insurance company has inspected the damage (they are all on vacation...)

The swedish crown SEK is pretty weak compared to USD and many other currencies, I don't think it matters a whole lot what I do there.

I have 3 good bodies for sale. I have glass as well. All of the US bodies are going to have lift gates and tailgates instead of barn doors. I don't think I have any good right side LHD Passenger fenders. Everything else I have. I cannot imagine what freight would be to Sweden. Even freight to the East Coast is expensive.

There are several places I would try here in the states to see if they have good bodies. Problem would be shipping to Sweden.

I would think 91-92 would be all interchangeable
Then 93-94
Then 95-97. 96-96 Lexus LX450 have additional holes in the body panels for cladding though

And of course in the US all came with automatic transmissions so if yours is a manual some modifications would be needed to change to a stick setup.

Not sure how auto recycling works where you are, but I wonder if some would even be available using car-part.com search.

No chance I could ship one to Sweden

Thanks for the replies, I'll continue to look for options. I may have found a shipping company that can arrange this, still looking into it.
