I have been searching the internet and this site for an option that I like and wondered if anybody has some solutions they are happy with?

I would prefer to keep the Intercooler up front, but things seem tight to get up there. Willy has a recent thread doing just that (just messaged him to see how things are working). Would changing out to a different air box give me more room to work with? Can the turbo be “clocked” so I do not have such an extreme bend coming off?
Top mount seems to eliminate a lot of problems.......just not loving the hood scoop idea.
I know there are people that have done this, just can’t seem to find any good pics or info of how everything is routed.
Thanks!

Like this.

Should have specified that I was looking at air to air, but I guess I could consider air/water

I haven’t. After adjusting boost it made a huge difference......and........hate to say this........but I am selling it. 😕

Bummer! If you don't mind me asking, any particular reason for moving on? I've got a KZJ78 coming my way shortly that I'm excited to tinker on, but shouldn't be too hard to move if it becomes more of a job than a hobby.

GLWTS, if I'd had a crystal ball I'd have just waited for yours - it's obvious you put a lot of care and thought into that machine!

It did not become too much work - I had already done the big stuff to make it run right...
I don’t know, other than the reality of a 26 year old vehicle as a daily driver finally hit home. It lacked safety features that I wanted for my family and my wife wouldn’t drive it because of the RHD. Would LOVE to keep as an extra vehicle instead of a daily driver, but I can’t make that happen financially.
All I can say is that these vehicles are awesome and fun to tinker with, but for me, better suited as a 2nd vehicle.

That is unfortunately the reality of the situation. I have owned a lot of these types of vehicles and they are seldom actually a good DD if you have to 100% depend on them and go any distance.
There are too many things that are really exceedingly simple that can park one for 3 weeks over a part you can't source locally. Overly zealous maintenance helps to overcome that to a degree, but not everyone is in a position to buy tons of parts that aren't worn out really, but MAY fail because it's old, so you replace it.
Good luck with the sale.

I don’t regret buying the vehicle in the slightest bit. I have had a ton of fun tinkering with it and getting it running the way it should. It is been a fun hobby, but as you said, the reality of these vehicles as a daily driver it’s tough. I really really would like to keep it as a second vehicle, but just can’t afford that luxury. Maybe somewhere down the road I will get into one at a lower price tag and truly treat it as a complete restoration
