There is a group of Tacoma guys heading down on Sat. Meeting at QT 169 Hwy and 151st. Rolling from there by 8 AM at the latest. I will be joining them.
I've never cared for Ks rocks before, always going when it was wet or snowy or icy. This weekend was a totally different park for me. Nice and dry, was able to go all over the place on trails that were black diamonds. Great weekend trip, Tacoma guys were super. Really impressed what they could do with their rigs.
did you do the slab? a little water makes a huge difference out there a l of low laying areas that hold water get in your tires and make everything a slimy mess
Don't recall the slab, but I was a follower, not a leader....well, I would keep trying to get lost when the group slowed down, so maybe???? Never looked at the map really until end of the day. I liked the buckeye boonies area. 105-110
It's the easy out from carnage canyon. I use to go up it with my jeep on 40's like nothing. I've been tempted in the 80 but the conditions just hadn't been right to attempt it the last few times down there. Turbo phil winched a g-wagon up it last time out and now I just feel silly not trying it yet.
