Hello, if you live in N.E. Indiana, N.W. Ohio, or Southern MI, and you are looking for a great service experience, I would recommend Kanagy Krown located in Amish country near Grabill, IN. I make a four hour round trip for this service. I have taken my 200 series Land Cruisers and LX 570s to him for several years. Rufus applies a meticulous, generous application of Krown Oil to all the rust-prone areas of the vehicle. Check out my photos and videos. I would recommend that you wear old shoes or have shoe covers. Tell him Land Cruiser Larry sent you. You will not be disappointed.
By the way, for your new owners of older Midwestern rigs that already have some rust forming, I would encourage you to treat your vehicle. Although it takes decades for the frame to rust through, smaller items like brake lines and rear A/C lines have less robust material, and 1 mm or corrosion on a frame is not much, but to a brake line, it is much more serious.
For about $150 once a year, this is the best product warranty for a Land Cruiser that I can think of. I mean, after rust, does the Land Cruiser have any mortal enemies? I can't think of any.

I’ve used fluid film with similar protection results. @GoISU did my application in Illinois in his garage with the special wand. Keep it off the exhaust or it smells awful until it burns off (which happens whenever I use the rattle cans)

I lot of members have their special preference of undercoating, which I respect. But, in my case, I'm in my late 60's, and and no longer have the ability to crawl around much under the vehicle, so it is important to find a vendor. Last time I looked, we do not have a fluid film dealership near me (Indianapolis). I'm glad that you do, especially with Chicago road salt so heavily applied that it looks like white paint when the roads dry. I agree that there is an odor, and also many drips on my garage floor, but it is a very small inconvenience, esp. with all the modifications on your rig.

The only thing, outside of a crash, that kills a Land Cruiser is rust. I have always coated my vehicles with wool wax, waxoyl, fluid film, or the equivalent for 30+ years. Whether I specifically drove in a road salt area or not. It has kept them looking new.

AC Auto Repair in Wakefield MA did an EXCELLENT job on mine. Woolwax underneath, and fluid film inside of the door panels. I highly recommend them in MA

I get my vehicles serviced by a local Krown vendor as well and have been very happy with the price and product over the years. I put down some cheap plastic drops cloths on the garage floor for a week or two, collects the drips great.
