Decided to try the SEM color coat product so I figured I’d share the results.
First cleaned the pads with some dish soap and warm water. They absorbed a lot of the soap so it required a ton of rinsing.
Let them dry in the sun for a day and a half.
Applied three light coats of the SEM satin black.
Results are meh. I didn’t expect them to look new and they are definitely much better but still good from far, far from good.
Anyone else refurbish these. What did you do? How did yours turn out?
Lastly, plated the hardware. Missing two of the little screws. If anyone in the Puget Sound area has retired their roll bar and are willing to part with them the id buy them or buy you beer.
