I've run through the forums on 'kill switches' and didn't come across this idea, or at least I didn't find it.

Doesn't the tach use a lead from the coil for signal ? If so, wouldn't it be possible to jumper the coil lead to a switch then to ground creating a nice, simple, easy to wire and install - kill switch ?

Real curious, thanks in advance,

Cahil

Found this from landpimp a few months ago...

"wire a kill switch into the coil neg side, run a wire from the new side of coil to a switch in the cab, from that switch run another wire to a ground on the body, this way when the switch is fliped you will ground out the coil and it won't start, thief will prolly flood the carb trying to start it."

Yup, saw that one. Trying to *not* run another wire through the firewall. If the tach wire is connected to the coil ... why not use that one ? It's already in the dash.
