I can see that the topic of keyless entry has been discussed in the fourm before. I havent found the answer to my problem so here goes. My keyless entry remote only works from inside 10 feet. Is this normal? I just replaced the battery that did nothing.Should I replace the remote? In my past experience the :princess: 's Subaru Outback the remote works from 50+ feet. Is Can you set up so the horn will honk when the doors are locked or not?

I found the antenna wire when I had the seat out and was steaming the carpets. I have been experimenting with it by moving it around but I can get 25-30 feet on average with it run under the door threshold with the wiring harness and up under the dash. My system is the Toyota RS3000 VIP.

originally my antenna wire was wound up in a ball under the dash along with the control box.

The box shoud be under the driver's seat and the wiring heads up into the dash with the antenna wire up near the top of the radio I think.

Before moving it was like 8' distance and now it's around 20 depending on which corner you stand from.
