Still can't get over the cost of replacement keys for the 100. Dealer wants $240 plus $60 to program. I have seen some on ebay, but am a little weary about problems. I have seen Streetkeys.com. They have the key (w/ remote) for $180 including programming instructions. Hardly a deal, but better than bending over for the dealer. Anyone have any experience with Streetkeys.com? Anyone have any other suggestions about getting a second key? Thanks.

I bought a $16 non-remote transponder key off of ebay. I didn't want to spend $300 for a spare key that I would only need if happened to lose the remote one. The $16 key is a master so if I do lose the remote key, I can make another remote key master from it. I had it cut at a locksmith and it came with transponder programming instructions that were relatively easy.

I am assuming you already have one master key. You will need it to program this key.

I believe this is the key I bought. It is for a 98-02. Not sure what year yours is.

I also bought a key on eBay and everything works fine.

FYI - My experience with StreetKeys.com was a good (but expensive) one. I ordered a new Toyota (They have refurb and aftermarket too) key with keyless entry control. Cost was $180. Received easy to follow programming instructions for both transponder and keyless. Toyota dealer cut the key for free. Toyota dealer wanted $240 for the key plus $60 to program if I ordered through them. The key can be found on ebay for less, but I did not want to take the chance of incompatibility.
