So I read the threads on how to open the KDSS valves to fix the lean on the GX. I attempted this and mistakenly opened the left one too far and fluid was released.

What the forums don't tell you is that it costs $1500 to refill, pressurize, and calibrate if you lose fluid! It's a closed system and isn't intended to be messed with.

Does anyone have experience with this or know a independent shop in the Seattle area who can perform this service? Currently it's $1450 at the Lexus dealership as there are special tools needed. They also recommended towing the GX to the shop. Expensive mistake.

Help!

Thanks !

How much was lost? Did the KDSS light comes on now?
You can make your own equipment. It need a hydroststic test pump that can achieve 7 MPA/1000 PSI. Like Pressure Test Pump,1000PSI / 7MPa Hydrostatic Hand Test Pump,Pressure Gauge, for Vessels, Pipes, valves, Rubber Fittings Amazon.com: Pressure Test Pump,1000PSI / 7MPa Hydrostatic Hand Test Pump,Pressure Gauge, for Vessels, Pipes, valves, Rubber Fittings : Automotive - https://a.co/d/8xKGxqA

You also need sometype of AC / hydraulic service port that match the KDSS port. I haven't done this so not quite sure what is needed.

You also need AHC fluid.

Thanks ! I'll look into this. Only the left screw-front of vehicle was leaked out. Which I believe is the front line. I haven't noticed an error light.
Also, the dealer said the fluid is $540 a quart. Is this stuff made of gold?

If there is no kdss light then don't worry about it.

The AHC fluid are about $90-150 for a 2.5L can.

AHC Fluid (Active Height Control Suspension) 08886-81221 List Price $21.57/quart

Does anyone know if there is a risk driving the GX at this point? Again, the fluid was leaked out on the front-left line/valve. Still working on calling local Toyota dealers. Not much luck with Lexus dealers thus far.

If you don't even have the light I would not even worry about it.
Its fine to drive without KDSS. You just have to be a bit more careful as the handling would be sloppy.

Thanks J. Have you guys bypassed the KDSS and installed spacers? A few people have told me that this is the way to go to fix the lean etc.
