This might be common knowledge, but I thought I would share.

I have had my GX460 for about a month. I decided to remove the protective plate from the KDSS under the driver's door attached to the frame. I found the protective plate collects debris. I will be pulling this regularly for cleaning.

Also need to tackle the surface rust before it gets out of control...but otherwise looks clean and no leaks.

Ironic... I dropped mine today as well.. I don't take into water or mud... just kicked up from wherever... this about a year since I cleaned mine out last year when I put skids on.

If anyone needs a motivator look at some of the KDSS accumulator corrosion pics from Russian forums.

Linked off of CL posts. There was quite a bit of sand on top of the accumulator. I'd suggest seeing how much comes out with a thorough power washing and then remove cover to see what is left. Just two 12mm bolts hold cover on.

Great minds! Lol

Those Russian links are scary. I might make this a regular maintenance cleaning I do along with my oil change.

Would fluid film help on a component like this, or would this cause issues with the wiring?
