Really like this product, but shipping from Oz doubles the price. About $790 to ship with side panels and cargo divider.

Anyone know of a domestic source or distributor?

I don't believe there is one now that LRA stopped carrying them. Best bet is finding someone who wants to offload it. As a side note I actually ordered direct from Kaon right when they started distributing through LRA. About 2 weeks after the fact they did end up refunding me some of the shipping charges--not sure if that was because they adjusted to the real cost or what. Wouldn't necessarily expect it, but it was a nice surprise

There are one of two Australian companies that will ship to the US but I found contacting Kaon directly last year they were able to offer better pricing on shipping directly quoting. It was still about $700 for the shelf, 2nd row divider, and center 3rd row divider.

If you’re splurging on an order I want to get a second 3rd row divider (the small height one) and I wonder what the extra shipping would be on that… might be cheaper for me to have you order and then reship to me, and I can offer you part of the savings…

I had reached out to them directly as well and the answer was 'it is what it is' on shipping. The only option was for me to arrange for something else myself.

I had thought that maybe a group buy would make sense, but I don't really have the bandwidth to be a mini-distributor. Most likely will go Victory 4x4.

I know this not what you are asking but if you are looking for a massive amount of utility check out the Raingler attic nets. I also think they are shockingly good value. I have the full attic with hybrid net/mesh webbing. I use it more than any other mod I have ever done because it is permanent storage that gets used every single day. Depending on the season I keep several hats, jackets, gloves, blankets, a couple towels, etc. I have even stored 4 pairs of snow skis in it one time when I parked overnight in a downtown parking garage and there is no way a potential thief would have ever known they were there. That is the best part is that it keeps things up and out of view especially if you have a little tint on your front windows. On road trips my kids stick their headphones, jackets and what not into the mesh webbing. For camping you can fit a boatload of sleeping pads, sleeping bags, etc. It is also good for fishing poles.

The full net is probably not for you if you regularly transport full size adults. I have never taken mine down in the almost 3 years I have had it and I make adults deal with the reduced headroom which is fine for anyone less than 6'2" but I will take it down for the first time this summer for a long road trip with adults. It is not difficult to install or take down and put back up.

If you want something permanent I’d recommend victory honestly. I like the Kaon but I also want to remove it for hauling stuff sometimes so I got the removable one. The kaon can rattle, and it’s worn a little bit of the 3rd row grab handles the way it mounts. If I didn’t need to remove it ever again I’d look at the victory (or kaon) permanent mounting options.

Does the Victory shelf come back as far as the Kaon? Hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like the Victory isn't as deep.

I ordered my Kaon shelf directly. Not only is the conversion rate friendly, Kaon shipping is great. It does take a bit of time, but Kaon's has terrific customer service. I also ordered their fuse bracket and that got either lost or held at customs (not sure). Either way, they sent me a replacement immediately. I can't speak to the Victory shelf (though I do have their roof rack which I love), but the Kaon shelf has been perfect. Super solid, does what it's meant to do and no noise at all.

What was your shipping to UT? For the shelf, cargo barrier, and side panels the quote to OR was $790, almost doubling the cost. I emailed them and was basically told it is what it is because of package size.

A couple potential options: wait for a big sale--if I remember correctly they offer 10% or 15% off sales every now and then. Another option is join their mailing list and you get a 5% off coupon that you could use as soon as you get it. When I enter my info for purchase the shelf with large panels is $663.64 AUD + $422.36 AUD for shipping. Grand total comes to $1,086 AUD or roughly $719 USD. Using a 5% coupon would drop the shelf and panels to $630.46 AUD and with same shipping brings it to $1,052.82 AUD or roughly $697 USD. Looking at the Victory shelf right now with the molle panels it comes to $565 so you're talking about $132 extra dollars to get what you really want right now without having to wait for a better sale which while not trivial is a fairly small amount in the grand scheme of vehicle modification. Just gotta weigh what you want vs what you pay and figure out how much extra it's worth to get exactly what you want vs settling

Kaon is $1,646 for the whole setup, including shipping. Victory is $950, a $700 delta.

If I didn’t want the ability to remove the shelf and dividers easily i would have bought the victory one. Kaon stuff is great but I suspect victory would be similar, its us made, and its cheaper and faster to receive.

Gotcha, I didn't add the pet cargo barrier; that said Kaon is in AUD on the website even when you put that you are shipping to the USA. $1,636 AUD is close to $1,083 so it's more like $133 difference

So you know I'm not bs'ing you to make you make bad decisions--I actually went Googling for coupon codes after reading more of this thread and stumbled upon a new Starlink mount they offered that I purchased.

You can see the total here on the website:

Which perfectly matches my invoice where it finally says it's in AUD:

And the actual charge reflected on my credit card:

I had incorrectly assumed those were $ USD based upon my shipping address. Great catch.

I've bought directly from Kaon - extremely great customer service and the exchange rate and shipping was super reasonable. They even combined some parts into one box to avoid shipping at an additional cost.
