Interesting engine poking out from under the hood there. That’s an early thermostat upper.

You are correct! The engine that came with this FJ-40 was a V8 Chev. I retrofitted it with a 1965 FJ-45 motor. The FJ-45 Truck I purchased had this motor and 3-speed transmission and transfer case which I switched out for a 4-speed.
