That's too bad, but anyway, congrats.
Mine's a daily driver, lives outside, not particularly pampered and still going strong at 215K. It has good power, minimal oil use, and is all around a great truck. I hope still to be driving it in 10 years!

290,000....nice! What are the most miles anyone has heard of put on a 60 2F?
I'm at 194,250 maybe a rebuild is not in the near future.

I have around 275,000 on the truck 60,000 or so on the engine.
235,000+ mi.and still ticking and .....going and going........
Im at a little more then 223K.
I hit 220k yesterday, and will hit 221k tomorrow as i finish up my 2400 mile trip across the country. too bad most of our odos aren't correct because of the tire and gearing differences...
My FJ60 is at 226k with the original 2F. Gets 17 mpg hwy (14 mpg mixed) and imo, goes up hills pretty fast!

365K On my 85 60, just purchased 2 mos. ago.
Been wrenching; All Exhaust gaskets, New radiator, hoses, Thermostat, bunch of other little stuff, just put a new cd/ XM radio in it yesterday.
I am now selling my 2006 Tundra because I don't drive it any more, I just don't like it any more, it has no soul, and it's an automatic.
Next project is the knuckle rebuild.
I've been working on aircooled VW's most of my life so luckily I have metric tools already

Just rolled 295k, third owner, original engine, small oil drip, goes up Mt. Rose Hwy (steep!) at 55mph.

No my regular mechanic. I use Jose for the "Cruiser Specific" things. In fact, in a few weeks Jose will be taking my 60 to do the exhaust/intake manifold gaskets. I also think that I might pull the trigger on a frame swap as he quoted a price of $2500 to do, not that bad IMHO.
