You can start hitting low key trails with only new AT tires. These are as capable as it gets, it is a Land Cruiser under there after all.

Congrats, you're going to love it!

The purpose of the mud flap eliminators is this- when backing up, or coming down over an obstacle just right, sometimes the mudflaps will get caught between the obstacle and the tire. As they are attached to the plastic bumper cover, this can result in having the whole plastic bumper cover being torn off while on the trail. If you remove just the mud flap to prevent this, you create a hole between the plastic bumper cover and the bodywork, which is likely to collect dirt and other crud which may lead to a corrosive condition. Mud Flap eliminators cover this void.

I modified the part of the OEM mudflap that attaches to the car so that no hole was created. Ymmv.

I did metal tech sliders when they were on sale.

Skids are good but sliders are a must in my opinion
Are these what you got? How do you like them?

A lot of people run those sliders ^^. Haven’t seen any negative feedback about them. There’s a big thread about them somewhere on the forum. They look great in person!

I really like the sliders. Solid construction and good fit.

I have more info about them, including the prep in my "build" thread
