1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5 239xxx miles

- Runs like a champ--we're downsizing and no longer need it

- New exhaust and recent ball joints

- New steering rack and power steering pump last year

- ARB bumper with Warn m8000 winch and PIAA lights

- Daystar 2.5" spacer lift over stock coils with extended shocks/struts

- Safari Snorkel

- Detroit Softlocker in rear axle with greasable rear driveshaft

- 'RockSliderz' rock sliders

- Class III hitch

- A.C. runs cold

- No frame rust (surface rust only)

- *Very* minimal rust on bumper seams

- Leather interior fair - rip in driver's and passenger's seats

- Paint faded on hood and roof, has minor oil leak, full synthetic every 5k since 75,000 miles

- Immaculately maintained. Local shop will provide vehicle reference for the past 5 years

- Second owner (owned since 2001).

- Desert vehicle for 12+ years

I want to get some spacers & put 35's on for the winter. I plan on having under body blasted & coated and then using a liner for complete body, ie Al's line in desert tan. Anyone have a good resource for various 3rd gen parts?

In the past I have went with toyotapartszone.com but I don't think they are around anymore. Some people in other forums indicate they are now toyotapartsdeal.com but I do not have any experience with them.

Bring a box of donuts to a local Toyota dealer and talk to the counter guys. Instant discount on almost anything you buy.
If you need used parts like panels and accessories check CL or Ebay.
Get the LBJ replaced if never been done.

I haven't used them yet but people swear by Amayama. It's the real deal, super cheap. Also Camelback Toyota in Phoenix. The local junkyard. Amazon.

OP has those as recently done, a good reminder. Should be a standard inspection.
