Just picked this up from carmax the other day and had it transported to me from New Mexico . Just order Fuel 18x9 wheels and 275-70-18 BFG KOA2 tires and OME 2-3 INCH LIFT KIT and rear airbag delete kit . Can’t wait to start on this .

got my '11 GX premium from Car Max in January........

sure....high book...with 95K miles at the time,,now w/108K miles

Happy with the whole deal & process...they shipped for free from Vegas

Took sooo long to get to SLC....I think the driver stopped at the Mustang Ranch for 2-3 days...

You'll have to take before & after pics...

How was Carmax to deal with? Good solid vehicles but high prices? I am in market for GX460 I have not looked at them. Carvana seems to have some nice ones but very high price.

Honestly it was good . There was some hail damage on the roof and they gave me back my $500 transfer fee so I am good with that . Wheels and tires and ARB lift showed up so stay tuned .

I have never bought from an online dealer is there any way to negotiate? I have seen a few GX I like on Carvanna but a long ways away and shipping seems to be $1000 to $1800.

Texas is the mecca for used GX's, find a clean one down here and fly/buy/drive.

I'd say they are on par but you have a lot more to choose from and they are usually very clean lease turn-ins. No rust to worry about down here either.

Run the history checks though...I’ve seen more than a few northern including some from Canada being sold out of Texas. Assume nothing without pics top to bottom. If VIN build gives you a message that only for units sold in continental US that is a good indication you have a model from Canada. It’s seems the auto auction market today moves vehicles around country like never before.

Our 470 was originally from Huntington Beach CA then came to TX. My 460 was always a Texas vehicle.

Bought both from united auto group in Carrollton TX. They get tons of GX’s in spurts from the local luxury dealers (Mercedes, Lexus, Cadillac, etc). If anyone is interested PM me and I’ll hook you up with one of their buyers and the guy I deal with.

Ok stage 1 complete . I pulled no fuses and have no lights . I Debadged the rear and painted all chrome trim with crest matte paint except window trims . Also installed super bright leds into map lights , Drl’s, sidelights, and fog lights .
