It is crazy how close in size all these tires are. I was getting 285s until my buddy suggested the 305s.

Not only do they look and ride fantastic, they were $15 a tire cheaper for some reason. (both TGs)

Demand would be my thought. Most vehicles can't run 305's stock. That and it kind of a off beat size to my knowledge.

the 305s and 295s look great, and having them compared with the Tundy 18s really makes me want the OEM 18s...but i bet they are expensive.

This mod stuff truly is unending.....

anyone running the 295's can tell me if they rub at all and what your suspension is? thanks.

Back a few years ago I had 295's with OME lift, med springs and didn't rub at all as I recall. Perhaps a little at full compression in the rear, but nothing to worry about at all. I may be going back to them next go around. Great tires.

Tiny bit of rub at the rear of the wells before lifting. Only rubbed when the corner was loaded. Zero rub with 2" lift.

My 295/75/16 BFG AT's rubbed in the back. Enough to make sound and chew up the lining in the back. Nothing that stopped forward motion but they rubbed.

fwiw, 305's do not rub.

I have NTG 305/60/18s on order. I hope it works out to be a good compromise. I like the fact that it's a non-D or E rated tire which will still give me a good ride on road. Taller than stock, but not too tall to sacrifice on-road power. And more traction on-road and flotation in snow for my ski trip outings.

skinny tires better for snow, as they have a more weight per surface area

I 100% love mine in that size. I think it is by far the best looking size on a 100.

You're right for the most part, but I want to clarify. I figure I will never get stuck on typical snow/hard pack snow on the highway. Reason for wider is if I go though deeper snow off the beaten path. I don't want to be digging in to get the differentials stuck which I've done even in my previous lighter 4runner. Would rather have better flotation to stay on top of the pack. Even better would be chains paired with a wide tire - pressure and flotation.

Hey Grog is there any rubbing with these tires with no lift. Saw another thread where a guy with the same tires on his lx had some rubbing. I'm completely stock with my 07 cruiser and I love the look of these tires. Also, do you find that the steering pulls a bit when you are going over road irregularities? Thanks for your thoughts. Maybe the 275/65s are my best option but the 305s are so meaty.

It's prob me you're referring to that has rubbing. Like I said, it's VERY minor and only at full lock and off camber turns. I'm at completely stock height.

Haven't noticed any pulling or funny behavior.
