well, looky here. i went out and remessured the 7.50X16 and what do i find?
just shy of 32". i must of been thinking the old 7.00 series.
My 7.50R16 tyres are only a smidge smaller in diameter than the maxxis 33x12.5.15s that I also have, so there you go.:)

well well, you are right i did make a mistake. the Max HP is actually 135 PS at 3600 rpm for the 1HZ. i guess i must of hit the wrong key.
Think those 1HZ numbers are incorrect. More like:

96 kW @ 3800rpm
285Nm @ 2200rpm

2H
Max HP 105PS at 3500 rpm
Max torque 25.5 @ 2200 rpm

1HZ
Max HP 105PS at 3600 rpm (incorrect posting)
Max torque 28.5 @ 2000 rpm

The numbers say the 1hz has more power, when you get them in the sand driving steady fully loaded on max weight of 3100kg the 2h will pull harder at lower revs than a 1hz.

THanks for all the feed back. I told the isurance its only 77kw :) no idea what ps that is...

Taken here - wikipedia
The 2H is a 4.0 L (3980 cc) inline 6, 12 valve OHV diesel engine. Bore is 91 mm and stroke is 102 mm, with a compression ratio of 20.7:1. Output is 103 hp (77 kW) at 3500 rpm - later production years 107 hp (80 kW) with 177 ft·lbf (240 N·m) of torque at 2000 rpm.

Hey who says its right...

I live at sea level, so no issues there, its good to hear the 2H is decent motor, i will have teh injectors cleaned, very possible they are crapped out as its just driven north... the next big worry is the paperwork...

cheers
Matt

No, not even close.

The 1HZ has considerably more low down torque (seat of the pants feel) than the 2H. It is also faster revving and has noticeably more power on the highway. Both engines beg for a turbo, however.

If your 1HZ is not as torquey and your 2H, then you need a little tune up. I have a few 1HZ powered trucks here at the moment (4, used to be 5) and they are all tuned a little differently from the factory (or perhaps someone tweaked them). By far the most torquey one is my 1990 HZJ73 with 69,000 kms on it.

Try checking the valves, timing and fuel setting. A touch more fuel will wake that 1HZ up considerably.
