Just got my GX about a month ago and it had some minor cracks in the dash. I read about the dash replacement program here on the forum. So I went to my local Lexus dealer here in Ft Pierce, Florida to check it out. They had a dash in stock and gave me a loaner car for the day while they put the new dash in. I got a new dash, they detailed my GX, and I got to drive around in a 2016 ES300h Hybrid free of charge and no questions asked. Pretty awesome. Thanks again Treasure Coast Lexus

Do you have any before and after pics?

I just got a 6 month wait list at my lexus dealer, woohoo

Mine is original and no cracks. The letter I got from Lexus says good 10 years from production. Means mine expires next year. Hope cracks don't wait to show up until 2018. That would suck. They are still doing your 2003 so maybe the ten year thing won't stick.

the warranty replacement offer expires in 2107 I believe (to be assessed and allocated the replacement, not end to end)

No, the plastic. It does crack over time. They sent you a letter if you are the registered owner at Lexus. If they don't have you on record, just go into a dealer and they can look up your VIN and find out if you need one, then do the inspection and approval. Once you have that the part will be ordered and replacement scheduled.

Are the cracking ones inherently defective, or will it eventually happen to all of them? Mine hasn't cracked yet. It's a 2007, so if 2003-2004 started cracking a year ago, I might be past 2017 before mine starts. :(

Just go in. Cracked or not if you are covered they will replace it

If you don't go in and it cracks after the offer you have to pay

The first before picture shows one of the cracks that went around the AC vent. The drivers side looked the same. There was also a crack that went along the edge just above the gauges and ran down beside the radio. I bought it knowing the cracks were there and was willing to live with it. But since they were willing to give me a new dash.... I'll take it

First pic before... Second and third- after

Just to clarify, my GX is a 2005 sport. I just purchased it about a month ago from a Ford dealership. I never received any notification from Lexus about the replacement program. I read about the dash replacement program on the forum so I figured I'd stop by the Lexus dealer to find out. The service manager checked my vin and said he thought they had one in the back. Once he confirmed it, he said they would put it in for me. He did tell me that the dashes were pretty hard to come by and I was lucky they had one in the back. I guess I was lucky....

Looks nice! I would even settle for your cracked dash! My dash is crumbling around my glove box.

I called Lexus customer service last year and talked to a rep. They told me that they would add me to the mailing list, but I never got anything in the mail. Then when I called my nearest dealership they told me to wait until I got the second letter. Now 10 months later, still haven't received a warranty enhancement letter. As soon as the rear differential gets replaced and re-geared in my Tundra, I'm just going to take mine to the dealer!
