Hey y'all! Found what seems to be a good place. It's a 3 bedroom house, one car attached garage, fenced in back yard with a small patio and 1650 square feet. The house is renting for $1150 / month with a month's rent as a deposit.

I had one of my fraternity brothers meet up with the owner of the property to tour it and he said that the owner seemed to be a good person. According to Mike, the house is in great shape, within 5 minutes of where I'll work and close to a supermarket and good pizza place. Sounds pretty good to me! The street is Durston Loop in Morrisville.

Called the guy and apparently he got an application in today, so I'm out of the picture. Oh well, I'll keep looking...

Johnny, you ever been to Harlan?

Yes, once with some of the guys from Bluegrass Cruisers. We went up when it was raining and had a hell of a time:lol:

How come?

Just curious. One of our favorite places to wheel and I thought you would like it. They have been cutting new trails and working on the existing trails. Lots of improvements to the camp sites as well.

Heather and I were married there at the summit of trail #15.

No s***. That's awesome, must have been a great ceremony! Was it expensive to truck everything up onto the trail?

When Kenny and I went up to Harlan the first night, we went up after it rained all day at 6pm. Got stuck on a narrow trail because we couldn't get up a muddy, sloped part of the trail, not even with double locked rigs. We had to turn his 80 around on a section of trail that was about 2 feet shorter than the truck, in the mud, at about midnight. That was HAIRY. On one side of the trail, the mountain went straight up, the other side went straight down. Almost crapped my pants a couple of times when I thought the 80 was going over the edge, but we got out safely.

Long story short, I want to go back to Harlan as soon as I can! I have yet to go there with my own truck. When we went we took Kenny's truck as I was in the middle of my SOA.

Trip is planned for later in the year... keep your eyes posted for details... Actually it's in the schedule.

That's a lot of house. I would not want to pay to heat and cool it. Small house, big shop, new barn in a couple years, that works. We both agreed that we would prefer a smaller house and bigger out buildings over a lot of house and outbuildings. Some prefer larger houses. Some need them, there are only two of us living here.

Sorry for the delay, picked up the info today and I think it's bigger than you are looking for. Rent is $2k for 2700 sq/ft, it doesn't look that big from the street...

No problem Jerry, thanks for looking for me! We're going to try to keep the cost to around $1000 a month.

Same here. I'd like to have a big place, but it's just not in the finances, nor does it really make sense for two people.

Kinds exactly what we have here, but the barn was already here. Going to build a better one one day.

Signed a lease for a 1600 sq/ft townhouse on Shining Wire Way in Morrisville. It has 3 bedrooms, hardwood floors and a single car attached garage for $1050 a month. The current plan is to move in on June 2nd or 3rd. I better hurry up on my frame swap because that date is coming up fast!!

Thanks for all of your help guys!

If I'm welcome, I'd like to know where to sign up to become a member of ONSC. Someone care to point me in the right direction?

Excellent! Just posted up a quick

I have a decent selection of tools but have been putting off buying some big guns until I have a garage of my own. Things that are on my list of purchases once I get down there are a good selection of cordless power tools as well as a nice, big air compressor and 220v welder.:D We'll see if I can convince the g/f that we need an air compressor before replacing our air mattress:lol:

I have a decent 220 welder - don't skimp on the compressor if you can. i did and regret it every time I need air! A couple hundred more and I could have been much happier.

What size compressor did you get? I was passively thinking about it and it seems that a dual stage, oiled 220v compressor with a 50 gallon tank would do everything I want it to.

Congrats on the new place Johnny. I look forward to seeing what you have done to your 60. I need to get to mine and get it trail worthy. Too many projects, not enough time for my own stuff right now.

Ramon, I still tell people the story about you driving your 40 right up through the lower rock garden at Harlan right after all the boys with the big motor buggies could not do it. Classic!

That and the Bob SLed run are the two things I recall most.

Thanks Stan! There will be plenty of time to hit up Harlan this summer:D Sounds like you guys wheel that park a lot!!

Good times Stan, good times. Look forward to heading back this fall!! Harvest Haul!!!

Hey y'all, just got down here Friday afternoon. We've been unpacking and buying stuff so fast I forgot to order internet service! Either way, I'm now officially living in Morrisville so if you see a beat up, white, soa 60 rolling around, its probably me, so feel free to say hi.

In other news, having moonshine so overloaded for 700 miles took it's toll. The transfer is on its last legs and the fuel pickup has rotted through. Does anyone have a gas tank / fuel pickup I can take off their hands?

I will do my best to make the event this month. Looking forward to meeting you guys in person!
