It is a 87 fj60. 167k. no rust. cali truck. 4.88 gears, soa, pro comp shocks, full header back exhaust (6-1 header) 38" swampers, no dents or body damage. It is being shipped to me in CT. from CA. Can't wait. The greatest part is I only paid $2500!!!!!!!!!!!!! These trucks go for big money on the NE coast. I just sold my 85 runner totally restored, locked, geared, the whole 9 for 6k. it was a great truck. here is pic of the old runner also
Tell me what you think. PICS OF FJ60 BELOW. newbie mistake.

That thing is huge, hope it was done right....

soa with a helper spring added to each leaf pack. he said the rear was not cut and truned. I know everything about the 4runners and i know it is good to do this also in the runner. the driveshaft angle was pretty steep on my runner and i never had a problem. Is is different for the fj60? If i see it being a problem like hanging up i will take care of all the fabrication. I will also be building new sliders and bumpers. I did build all the ones on the runner for like $80 per set (1/4" wall tubing) FJ60 is also was fitted with the marlin krawler high steer. Aldo seller said he put in a 94 runner rear driveshaft with some different joint in it. He said it has never been off road. He bought from original owner 4 yrs ago with 140k.

Man that's hella mean looking. Great find.

and welcome aboard :flipoff2:

It looks like there is a swing out, though I can't see where its mounted.
i am not sure how it is mounted. I never got the details on that. I didn't want to ask to many q's. this guy thought he would get more money for the fj60. he def. didn't want to sell this truck but had to for personal reasons. my gain on that.

Can you guys give me a check off list on problem points for this model truck. when i get it I plan on going through everything to make this truck drive and look mint. thanks

That is a gorgeous rig. When you get it, give us some info on how that spare is mounted!!

Oh, and the CA ( Cruisers Anonymous ) group meets once a week in the classified section. Welcome!! :flipoff2:

thanks for all the positive support for my new purchase. so what do you guys think for the $2500? I just wanted to add that it also has new four core rad., new alternator, starter, rear driveshaft from 94 runner with double cardan, ford front shock hoops, andhe says it has a custom spare tire mount. I am curious to see his fab skills.
Will the double cardan d.s. help because it has no cut and turn axle housing??

well by looking closer at the pics it looks like the pivot point for the rear spare carrier is off the rear hitch point. I don't like the looks already. I personally think for looks it wourd be better to make a carrier inside the rear cargo area. I do though like a lot of the spare carriers i see on this site. But they do look like big money.
