Just bought a 1999 Pink Panty

Well there you have it. I just bought a 1999 LX 470 for the wife today. It has afew miles on her, 122,000 but for the price of $16025 I thought it was worth it.
Will follow up with some photos in the next couple of days when I pick her up.

Mine mis-match too and it botheres me in certain lighting.

I’m sure the PO had a tough time between the giant “L” or the state of Texas in the center. LMAO

Well I drove it back from Dallas today, other than needing a front wheel balance, she drives real nice.
Looking at the grille, it's not a LX 470 grille , doesn't fit correctly either, not sure what the PO was thinking.
So wheres the best place to buy another grille?
Anyways I will add some more pics of it tomorrow after I clean her up.

Aussie, you could probably take the "L" off your grill and convert it into a nice Texan Belt Buckle!

You can find used 98-02 LX grills on eBay all the time. If buying new, you "might" be able to use a slightly newer grill to update the look. Not sure which years will fit though.

up to 2005 will fit. Tech at my lexus dealership owns a 2000 i believe, and he put the 2003-05 grille on. The 06+ grille with the bigger L will not fit due to different filler peices around the headlights and hood.

I would suggest you get the 98-02 grille, the one that is soposed to be on there. The 03-05 grille is a lighter color and wont match the black as well.

Also with the 98-02 you can strip the dark grey paint and make it chrome like aedgington and i did. Heck, i bet adam would do it for you...lol he lives in houston too!


Oh might i suggest, take that misplaced V8 emblem off...i think it throws off the whole tailgate...just my opinion tho.
