A buddy of mine who has a scout and I are looking for a warehouse to lease for a year or two to do frame up restorations to our vehicles. He has a lot of metal working equiptment. We are looking for about 1000 sqft building or larger. For the both of us it should run around 100$ a month each. My though if maybe some of you who don't have the garage space or any at that might want to have a place where you could go to work on your vehicle and have access to welders, drill presses, band saws, and other tools that you just wouldn't buy for yourself. Plus someone around who has the experience to operate some of the heavier stuff.

My question to you guys would any of you be interested in being a part of this?

I think the more people the better and it means we could get more space and maybe have a lower monthly payment.

Plus I have a full woodshop in my garage that I would love to get out of there that I could throw in the mix possibly.

damn that is sweet Marshall. Here is somethin to add to that. I know I won't need to keep mine there 24/7 but there would be times where I would need access to some of those tools. And with it costing you 200 bucks a month, you could set up some kind of pot...like if I made plans to use the shop that month I would pay you 25 bucks, or what ever it may be. That way I'm not in a "contract" to stay there or pay you monthly, but the months I do use it I'm helpin with some of the financial stuff.

Oh yeah, I could throw in a few bucks a month to work on the cruiser, but remember, I'm a broke ass college punk, who can't get a decent job. By the way, I'm a frickin veteran with combat experience x2 and in the year that I have been home I have applied to just about every job that every company has to offer in Anderson. Now that its almost summer, I still have no job and funds are getting low low low. I thought that with a military background one could at least get a job working at lowe's( which I have applied to 4 times). Whats up with this? Can a decent man, get a decent job? I mean I came out of the Marines as a Sergeant and what I'm trying to say is, I don't want to be stuck at the drive through taking orders and flipping burgers. Not saying that I'm better than that, its just not my cup of tee. I'd rather be posting up billboards or someother outdoor job that is somewhat rewarding.

I would be interested for sure, but as mentioned above, monthly payments and a lack of consistant income can be difficult. I would be willing to pay a fee each time i used it though.

I'm getting closer and closer to getting the garage idea into reality. I have a couple of realtors who are trying to find a place. If we had a place that was 2000 sqft at 3 dollars would roughly be 6k a year. With 5 people going in it would be 100 a month plus utilities. With 10 people it would be 50$. I've got three posssible four people who want in. ANybody else think this is something they would like to persue? It's possible I could find something cheaper. With all the tools me and my buddy have along with someof the others who are interested it will be close to a fully functional shop. And might even be a place where we could meet sometimes and store cruiser parts.

Great idea, Marshall. If I were up there on a permanent basis, i would be in. Your rentals are much cheaper up there than down here in Florida.

as i may have mentioned before, i don't think i will need to use it enough to make it worth my while to pay montly, but I am willing to donate to the cause on a day to day basis that I use it, if such an arrangment could be considered.
