Los Padres NF – I5 Gorman
Hungry Valley OHV, Miller, Yellowjacket; Frazier Mine Trails,

Don’t know what’s open or not but there a number of good ones in the vicinity

Please post up if you're interested, or have something else for a possible june run. I've been to all those but Shredder which I heard is fun so if you know about that one spill ;)

Put me down for anything, anytime! As long as my rigs not in the shop getting mods done I'm there.

one run I've wanted to do for a while is a combo of
Hungry Valley, Miller, and BC109 with some camping at Hungry Valley or Dutchman (top of Miller)
should be fun

I was up @ Hungry Valley OHV in March I think, anyway, Miller Jeep Trail was closed due to the fire, and probably will be for some time.

COUNT ME IN!
The GCC has scheduled the Miller Jeep trail for the 30th of June.

But I have the weekend of the 16th open, and a Rowher run would be cool to meet an greet everyone.

lets go to Shredder Cyn. this would be a sweet day run, you guys in the 80 have AC no big thing.

cmjrfan8: miller is closed every year jan 1st to around june 1st; this year they might keep it closed all year :(

don't know about Shredder.

FWIW, I went to Rohwer with Gold coast Cruisers a year or so ago IIRC, and frankly what I saw was not that exciting. Flat dirt roads, no technical challenges, fairly barren landscape. (Of course, there may be something we didn't do, I just followed along.) View is OK but there are much better views most places along the coast or in the Los Padres NF IMHO.

called the mt pinos ranger station - Miller Jeep Trail will open tomorrow!

Yeah Shredder on 6/17 is looking like maybe the best bet.

I.Rogers have you run it before? know the trail head or can get directions from some of the trail crew. Where would be the best place to meet up in the morning? Never been myself so would need some help on that.

Pablo…for those that missed miller this past weekend or want to run it again, could we join up with the GCC on the 30th? Did you guys have another run for june or something?

Rowher Flats OHV is nice day run if you have'nt been but I agree not as fun as the other choices.

Brian

Miller opened last weekend.

you guys are welcome to come with us as well, just give me a heads up before hand and I'll let the guys know how many we're meeting and we can pick a place.

There are a few from the club pre-running Miller this week, so I might get some better info soon.

E, there was a bunch of stuck J@@ps on the fun part of the trail when we went, and then a F150 was stuck pulling one of them out, and we weren't about to wait for the 50 Hummers to go up and get stuck too, that's why we took the cruiser path around the other ridge.

at least there's enough dirt to throw it in low just to say you can!
and it doesn't take a full tank just to get there.

actually we have two.

Inscription canyon, way out by Ridgecrest next weekend.

AND Miller again on the 30th.

PM if you wanna go, all are welcome!

Brian I have not been there, AMMO went last year in his 80 with the Trail Crew. I can find out some directions at the club meeting on the 5th.

Best
Ian

Hey, my home town! I think inscription canyon is the place I went on for my ONE wheeling trip in the Crest. I went with my Dad & his co-worker in an Isuzu Trooper. I can't believe I was there in the Mojave desert for 18 years and only went wheeling once.

Awwww come on who says you can't get a wagon threw shredder.....

Right Ron..............

The gate keeper can be done with skillz it's only later when the trail boss blows a shackle in his SAS PU that things get ulgy.

Have fun!!!!!!!

 "Shreddddderrrrrr...RRRightt." - while tapping right temple with index finger and looking at AMMO's carnage pics.

I got to hand it to the experienced offroaders here - I (noob) would have brought home a crushed aluminum can on wheels.
