Yeah, and that is one reason the Hurricane Creek Trip is expedition style. No guarantee you're going to get a camping site! We had that same problem the last time we went out there, and couldn't get to the swimming hole.

This one you specifically have to make it a side trip, not as conveinent as having it close to your campsite! So, based upon what our group wants to do, we'll see if we make it out there.

Does anyone have GPX files of your trips to Hurricane. I know each trip includes Hurricane which is easy to find, but probably differs slightly after that. I am just trying to get an idea of the general area that is covered. Thanks

The GPX files aren't published on purpose. We do not want to to disseminate the specific locations on a public forum.

Hurricane creek to max patch and up to Round Mountain campground is the general area. This year more of the trips will explore past that small slice, but it depends on your trip organizer, so once you sign up for a trip, talk with them to get a more defined map (if you need it).

I didn't even think you could upload GPX files on this forum, and I understand the concern that's why I have people email my personal email
 
Contact Izzy. He has explored and mapped more of that area than anyone i know of in the club. Our group will be led by Izzy in May.

I have done some mapping for them, they are after the same thing we are, responsible and safe traveling offroad.
