Does anyone know the dimensions of a jerry can? ie.. the foot print and height.

the dimensions are hard to give when there isnt a type specified...like the cheaper 5 gallon plastic ones will have way different dimensions then say a 1 gallon metal nato can...

How costly are those Scepter cans? The truly excellent Wedco NATO cans can be found for about $35 if you hunt around.

iv seen those cans for 20€ (in finland) at a local auto parts place...they also have a little one gallon one that looks kinda cool...a few years ago i think my sister found mine at canadian tire...
