i know we have a huge thread from JonnyC on owners manuals but can't find the 1988 or 1989 JDM HJ61 VX. A Brochure that shows the options would be great- I'm looking for anything. Any HJ61 VX owners have any? Mud search and Google search can't find them. I know it will be in Japenese, but that is ok.

Good luck finding any HJ61 brochures especially 88' 89'

I may have one floating around but no promises and the Boxing Day test is on at the moment so don't expect anything straight away.

Any help would be appreciated. Ah, yes...Boxing Day. I'm sure you will need a few days to recover.

That is why I'm turning to the family on Mud- maybe someone knows someone in Japan that has one in a filing cabinet or desk drawer from their purchase. I know we are talking only 2 years of production in Japan market only- I'm sure someone also knows that stat(how many were made and sold on Japan as Hj61 VX). Maybe there as one in the glove box of one of the imports. We will see what folks come up with. If we find one we can publish online for all in the future.

That is as close as you're going to get I reckon. I'd really love to see some others but I just don't think they exist or haven't been kept.
Sorry on the VX front, I've only got the Aussie Sahara brochure in '88 '89.

Crazy that the Sahara had and ice maker option between the seats- i thought my cooler box on the 200 was cool....

Also. Did all the high roofs have the third row seating as standard? I see it in the Sahara but not sure of the VX -I assume so. Thanks for digging these up.

I have never ever seen a high roof JDM 60 series diesel with a 3rd row. They only have the security bar across the rear window panels. That's a easy way to recognize these beasts. In the brochure you can see the petrol version with a 3rd row.

Happy new year to all cruiser addicts.:santa:

I'd never thought I'd say this because I think the high roof is ugly as sin (coming from a white lightning owner) but I kinda want a Sahara now.

As far as i know Toyota sweden only sold high roofs 60 series in G (2nd row) and GX (3rd row) versions.3RD row versions had the sliding windows.2nd row had the fixed windows. No ac ,no icebox, no VX versions

Pretty much the same here. Only G or GX models, VX never made it here.
They came only with 2H engines, sometimes with lockers. AC is super rare.
Plus i haven't seen any with 3rd row seats as they are almost all registered as vans, 3, 5 or 6 seat.
However all of them (at least what i've seen) has had sliding windows.

Toyota Land Cruiser 60 Diesel Maastoauto 1985 - Vaihtoauto - Nettiauto
Nice roof extension, lol. Original High roof model. 2 seats. 2H.

Toyota Land Cruiser Siisti! Katso! Maastoauto 1987 - Vaihtoauto - Nettiauto
2H, lockers, 6 seats.

Toyota Land Cruiser 60 Diesel Hj 60 Pitkä - Matala 1986 - Vaihtoauto - Nettiauto
2H, 3 seats.

Toyota Landcruiser 1987, Rauma
2H, lockers, registered for 9 but has only 6 seats. Rusty as :censor:

Wow- your rock @sved ! Those are awesome! That is exactly what I was looking for on the HJ61VX. Can I please have a scan of the HJ61VX full brochure. Can anyone read Japenese? What were the paint options for 1988 for the VX?

I feel like I could ask this community for pictures of a Unicorn craping rainbows and someone would find it for us. Thanks so much.
