The Toyota part number is 04465-YZZC0. Toyota has discontinued it but some dealers have stock remaining. I have some as does Beno.

BJ74 uses the same brakes as FJ60/62

Um, 31321-52010 is a pedal pad, not brake pads.
31321-52010 is the newer pad, $2.79 retail at toyota. My 1987 jdm pedals fit this profile. Buy two and no one will know you changed them. If you want aftermarket I can't help you. Typically all aftermarket rubber small parts fail and last only a couple years. I would not seek junk unless you like filling the landfill.

The beauty of 70 series is 2014 stuff fits 1986 jdm, 1984 canadian market, and 1995 mine truck all the same. You must start finding part numbers online not just asking here for us to look them up. Use the search function to find the threads.

I use the crap out of the search button and if I had found what I was looking for, I wouldn't have asked. Of course now when others search for brake pad info they're also gonna have to ignore your break PEDAL info.

Sorry I couldn't resist. : )

Sarcasm runs deep around here:)

What works good for me is to cross reference part #s on toyo DIY from the jdm74 with the NA market. That's a good way to see if it's used on the fj60 here. Most of the drivetrain is the same, less motor and trans. Some times it takes a little work but that what's kinda fun about these trucks.

All FJ4x/5x/6x/7x (minus the LJ/RJ medium-duty iterations) trucks use the same front brake pads from Toyota as Dan stated above.

The 7x through about 1999 when Toyota converted the front suspension and components to the 80 series style and the front pads went concurrently to 7x specific versions (-60230/-60250/etc).

So either rick_d is being sarcastic or he still thinks this thread is about brake pedals

a brake pad

"A brake pad" insinuates singular, so it's easy to see where one could infer that to be inquiring for the brake pedal pad, as "brake pads" might've suggested a reply different.

CDan has an innate ability to read between errs, be it pluralism or any number of others, almost to a point of mind reading....even those of the most ignorant.

Unsolicited opinion, but Rick deserves more credit than afforded that comment.

Your welcome to read between whatever lines you want. the problem is he tried to call me out for not searching for the info when he wasn't even referring to the right subject. This was pointed out and then he continued to post about brake pedal covers. Which as I am sure you know jus makes searching for what your looking for that much harder, because threads are full of bad/outdated/off subject topics.

Which is really gonna suck for those reminiscing of their 80s youth, Googleing cardboard break pads, parachute pants, boom box and James Brown's "Super Bad", now....

break info.

Agree wholeheartedly on errant thread generation and the frustration of sifting through the rubble of less than diligent participants that don't search, and the hundreds of irrelevant results this site or, my preference, Google results.

That said, Google just about any obscure Cruiser question, and there's always the same handful of old timers (and the punk, new, kid protege) that'll result, Rick, Dan (and punk beno), to name a few.

I don't know if you care, or not, but I've been seeking answers to 7X questions that haven't been posed by anyone with a user name on any forum in the world.

When I can not find an answer, if I ask Rick, he may say "gimme 6 hours, so I can drive to land 50 miles away, dig through the bone yard, to measure", then answers the question, so not a bad dood.

Same holds true for other respondents on the thread, onedid answer your question, to which you posed another about "aftermarket brake pads".

That's kinda like asking for domestic beer at a fine wine bar....

There are so many part numbers flying through the Shaman's consciousness, that he's a numerical value of the sum of all part numbers equalled in his head, per model and year, that astounds super computer engineers.

And he's one of those weirdos, like yourself, that RHDs a 74. Since odd "birds of a feather RHD, together", he be a good one to get to know.

Just sayin'....all off subject, of course. :)

Totally agree and wasn't trying to be an ass. Definitely would not want to pissed people off enough to not answer my questions. Everyone I know already thinks I'm nuts for having a RHD JDM cruiser in the states. May have been a little cray for my first landcruiser, but that's me.

If you are nuts, I hope there is additional space in the asylum. :)
