It looks like the next tech day will be at Iron Pig in Fredricksburg.
It is going to be on knuckle overhaul. I've been in touch with Cam and presently a date has not been set. This is something that would be great to get Bay to Blue ridge involved in if they are interested.

Also looking at doing tune up and valve adjustment for Feb.

What a bunch of knuckle heads:D

date set

The date for the tech day is Sat. Jan.15th

Anyone needing parts please get with the the guys at Iron Pig to make sure they have everything you need for this.

Tom

My understanding of tech days is that they are hands on. So we will need at least one guinea pig to work on if not a couple. I would suggest getting with Cam to get parts since Iron Pig is being gratious enough to offer their facility and help in doing this.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong and also correct my spelling.

Tom

What do you guys think about video taping the rebuild and putting it on here so we can always have it as a reference.

I think that would be great.
I'll volunteer to tape it if no one else would like to.

Chris

Can non-members of clubs attend? I am very interested and would be MORE that willing to graciously offer up my 60 to be the guinea pig... Purchasing parts from Iron Pig of course.
Thanks,
Chris

All good questions
Let me do some checking and maybe we can finalize the start time at our next meeting. I need to do some digging around to see if I can find the socket that I had. Also need to get with John Smith to pick up the tool to center everything up. We may not need it but it would be nice to go over how to use it.

dont worry about tools we have tools and we have parts just show up between 9 and 10 am and we will have some fun and maybe we will learn a little something

If someone can call or pm John Smith so someone can bring down the centering tool that would be cool.

But normally you do not need that if you are just rebuilding a knuckle. But if you are building one from scratch it is nice to have.

I am really looking forward to this. I have been putting this project off for about 6 years due to a lack of knowledge/time/etc...

I've sent a pm to John to get the centering tool

.

Chris the only problem with you running the camera is you will acutally have to show up.:D
