Howdy! For those of you interested, the Arizona State Association of 4-Wheel Drive Clubs annual Jamboree is alive and well. A few years ago the program moved from Florence Junction to the Table Mesa area, and interest/activity died. This is pretty much like AZ Rocks/TTORA, but open to any brand of rig. Mostly locals participate. Lots of fun, and great fub prizes. I have gone out several different years, but never had the chance to camp. Would our club be interested in supporting this? Any volunteer trail leaders? We have at least one from the past in our group now. <http://az4wdjamboree.com/index.php>

I have also attended several AZ Jamboree and yes its a lot like TTORA but more organized(sometimes), more bathrooms, dinner, and lots of raffle prizes. With that said I have a hard time paying $85 per vehicle(read cheap) to run runs that I one have done and two I can do for free anytime.

I will go and be a spectator on some of the very difficult runs like I have in years past.

Howdy! Granted, you can wheel these trails anytime you want, but, everyone working on this project is a volunteer. The $$$ go to cover fees, permits, expenses, and funding for the single, most effective land use promoter in the whole state. They have dedicated representatives that go to the state and federal land use meetings to represent us, all 4-wheelers, regardless of whether we help support them or not. I have been associated with them for over 10 years, and I know that without their work, we would have already lost a lot of trail access. This is one way to support them and have a lot of fun at the same time. Why put money into your rig, unless you put money into trail access so you have someplace to run it. I'm as cheap/broke/poor as the next guy, but I will probably buy a ticket for this even if I end up not going. BTDT. Ya just never know, you could win a set of tires, or a winch, or some JEEP BLING, like I did. The Raffle is usually pretty sweet. John

elvis is cool,,, first time i only did the first big obstacle, i was solo that day and didnt want to push it, as it was w/o a spotter i got a nice dent in the bottom edge of my rear bumper from it. since then i've run through it. its a good trail with a few different lines, you'll want a spotter to do the big drop and the falls v-notch thing.
