Few more. Second pic is of driver fender. I drilled the hole for the turn signal before I painted...........did not have the apron on the truck at that time......dumbass move on my part. Third pic is of the locks on the drawers Bomar came up with, they work great.

If you hadn't planned ahead and instead randomly drilled the holes without measuring like you did on your last fenders, you wouldn't have that problem. It looks damn good either way. Those drawers were awesome. Did you make the whole setup or buy them?

Very nice work> I look forward to seeing it.

Just remembered..... We checked the compression on two cylinders Friday. Compression before valve job was 92 - 97 in every cylinder. We checked 2 cylinders yesterday and got 119 & 120.

That's more like it.

Well fellows looks like the 2F is about to get replaced. Compression is around 115 and it is just not enough power to drive it comfortably on the road.
Going with a 5.7 going to end up around 240 hp(I know this isn't huge but it has a much lower torque curve compared to other 5.7's. I can use my existing TBI setup. I am sending it back to AFI to get it rechipped and larger injectors in the throttle body. Getting the advanced adapters kit to keep the stock tranny and transfer case in the stock location.

Anybody have any ideas as to what to do with the 2F?

This will begin in the next week or so, try to be thru by mid December......Pretty sure we got a spring over in our(conttonland's) near future.

Hot Damn!

drop the 2F in your pool, start fishing it's reef.

Thanks for blazing this trail JRob!

Jrob the 5.7 setup you have planned is a great idea. You can use your existing EFI setup and don't have to mess with anything else. You can get those motors inexpensively. The most cost effective set up for your 40.
Let me know when i can help.

JROB is under the impression that a properly wired Gen 2-4 GM will possibly cause some sort of problem that he can't work on. He's comfortable with the TBI

I already tried to sell him otherwise but he's already bought in

That said a 260 hp TBI is all that yota drivetrain will want

His current drivetrain...
But not his "forever drivetrain"...

@ Nolen - I'm sure Rob would do a fantastic job!! No doubt! but, part of the fun about wheeling/cruisers the whole ball of wax is doing stuff yourself. just my .02

@ Jordan - main reason is cost. you cannot find a 5.3 crate motor for what you can find a 5.7. Also, wanted to use the TBI setup, lot less complicated and a lot less wiring. basically if something goes bad/wrong, I CAN FIX IT!

I really don't care for high HP,....might not be for everybody.....but, I like it.
